The show opens following the misfortune of Fatoma Drake, whose partner died when their craft crashed and exploded on the moon. In an attempt to reach a location with a spare oxygen tank, she is intercepted by robots, and others bearing guns.
The main story, however, deals with Gorou and Lostman, who are making an unassisted climb up Mount Everest. Though their luck holds, others who are making the trek are not so lucky, and the two end up caring for the fatally injured survivor of an avalanche. At the summit, the two decide to quit mountain-climbing and aim for something greater. [gdh]

|This show is artistically silly, and has all the sensibilities of FLCL… and no wonder… this is brought to you by the same nut-jobs at studio Gainax. [gdh]

Nagasarete Airantou - Episode 1 () 24m
Seriously hyperactive slap-stick comedy. The newest entry into the harem anime genre.
Ikuto falls overboard at sea, to eventually be caught by a girl who is fishing. Not completely experienced, she attempts to resuscitate him, nearly killing him in the process. When Ikuto recovers, he discovers that he is the only male on an island with dozens of girls. Not only that, but the inhabitants have not had contact with the outside world for nearly 130 years. Now, every girl wants a piece of him (some, literally), for one reason or another. Whatever happens, Ikuto must get off the island, before he is killed.
Character designs are highly reminiscent of Narue no Sekai. [gdh]
