Haruma is an only child. However, this Christmas, "Santa Claus," a busty and statuesque woman, on a flying motorcycle, shows up outside his balcony and has him sign for his Christmas gift. Stunned and in disbelief, he accepts the package, which, when unwrapped, is revealed to be the younger sister he had pleaded with Santa for, when he was a very young boy. Fresh out of her wrapping, she is naked, and already an adolescent. Though able to speak, she has no worldly knowledge, other than that which appears in a small notebook she was delivered with. Up first, he must give his new sister a name and go shopping for appropriate clothing.
This has numerous mirrors to many other anime, including Chobits, where the protagonist must teach a functional but empty-minded girl, how to live in modern society. [gdh]

Some cretin is doing something shocking. They are robbing houses all around the city, dressed as… Santa Claus. This is taken as a personal affront by one of our two cute traffic officers, and since this has affected one of the children on their "beat," they decide to unofficially take on this robber. Unfortunately, as they start their investigation, they are hindered by the appearance of "Santa Claus Man!" Romance and Christmas gift expectations are victims in this holiday episode. In what seems to be a brief time of respite, the crew trails a comet while preparing for the holiday season. Traditions such as decorating, snowfall (on the bridge?), and gift-giving are part of the female crewmembers culture. The three stranded men and demented robot are new to this, and attempt to adopt these traditions. Holiday work continues, but two members have vanished, and their fate may not match the expectant mood which fills the ship. [gdh]
